Cost: £690 Dates: Sat 1 - Sat 8 September 2012 Language: English This retreat will focus on relationship and connectedness, bringing together three essential elements: land, mindfulness and writing. We’ll focus on being present with the land, its inhabitants and ourselves through time outdoors, writing, walking and silence. We’ll explore the art of paying deep attention with our hearts, senses and imagination, through time spent together and alone with writing exercises and tasks, discussion and readings. Expect a deepening of your sense of connectedness, a great deal of sometimes surprising writing (prose & poetry), a slowing down, a lot of laughter, and an opening of your imagination and your heart. Oh and good food in a lovely venue with sympathetic others - what more could you want? Tutor UK poet, author and painter Roselle Angwin leads the Fire in the Head creative and reflective writing program. She's passionate about wild places and the natural world, as well as the meeting points between inner and outer geographies: relationship, connection, land. She has been described as 'a poet of the bright moment... whose own sources of creative inspiration are her native Westcountry, the Scottish islands, and a highly individual blend of Celtic myth and metaphysics, psychology, shamanic and Buddhist thinking'. As an eco-poet, she leads Ground of Being work on Dartmoor, the Isle of Iona and abroad. For more info visit www.fire-in-the-head.co.uk and www.roselle-angwin.blogspot.com Price includes all course tuition, accommodation and meals. Single rooms will be provided to all participants depending on availability unless otherwise requested.
